There's nothing to winner
"I believe'cautious optimism' is the ideal way to frame it," Graves told me Sunday afternoon. "A lot of credit goes to (Commissioner) Roger Goodell and (VP of football operations) Troy Vincent for its sense of urgency that Madden nfl 21 coins has developed about this issue over the past 8-to-12 months."
There's nothing to winner until we see the final results of these hunts, but it appears more than lip service is being paid into The Rooney Rule, and there's a sense within the classes doing the hiring that the time for words is over -- that this league must be more equitable in who gets to sit in places of power within the sport, and, finally, just the owners themselves can change that.
Experienced coaches like Marvin Lewis and executives like Rick Smith seem very poised at this point to have a legitimate opportunity with numerous teams.
The league has been far more aggressive, proactive and consistent with its messaging to groups about the need to change the way they have been doing business, and I have heard repeatedly from people doing the hiring, and those who represent many of the very best candidates, the nature of the cycle will in fact be different.
"I've never felt that a vibe like this earlier," said one prominent agent. "I believe Goodell has put the hammer down and these groups are getting the message."
Before Graves has broached the topic of pushing back all hires until after the Super Bowl to attempt to level the playing field to this in and beyond the match, providing the rules that govern the game. However, numerous coaches and GMs being let go in-season this year -- creating a stronger cycle of interviews while games were still being played is a dynamic that also could foster diversity.
"The ancient conclusions being made by owners, in an effort to have a head start, may turn into more of a trend moving ahead," Graves said.
Obviously, this isn't about one hiring cycle, or one blip. It's about a path correction in the way owners think and function. And Graves wants to enlarge the range of the believing into all aspects below the NFL's umbrella: NFL Films, NFL Media, and most of ventures of the type. He, and lots of others, wish to see the exact same management-level opportunities supplied in those ventures also, and is currently working on a presentation to that end for its spring meeting in March.
"This is something which requires a holistic approach," Graves explained. "It's about peeling back the cover on the total NFL umbrella and cheap Mut 21 coins analyzing diversity when it comes to other companies, and in certain cases it's much worse there than what we have observed on the football side."
